Everytime we Travel to this beautiful site it looks different and never tire of it. your one day cliffs of moher tour will leave Dublin every morning at 6:50 a.m. and take you over to the famous Cliffs. You will be stopping in the historical Limerick city before embarking on your trip to the cliffs of moher. You will get to walk along these famous landmarks, view across to the Aran Islands. Itinerary:

  • 6.50am
    Pick up at Dublin Tourist office & begin your adventure travelling across Ireland to the west coast. Meet your guide who will introduce you to all your other intrepid travellers!

  • 10.00am
    Arrive in the Limerick City where we will view King John's Castle and travel through the streets of this Historic city on our way to Co Clare.

  • 11.30am
    Arrive at the Cliffs of Moher and take some time out to Enjoy these amazing cliffs and their surroundings and walk around this unique landmark. Spend an hour and a half at this magnicficent sight!

  • 13.00pm
    Time to Head for Doolin village for lunch, or weather permitting, have lunch on the cliffs.Usually we have lunch at Fitzpatricks Pub in Doolin. Really good fish in here!

  • 14.00pm
    After lunch depart for a small trek around the karst region of the Burren & view 12th century Corcomroe Abbey. The Burren is famous world wide for its diverse and wonderful fauna that you will walk between!

  • 16.30pm
    Travel via Galway bay on our way back to Dublin with a photo stop at Dunguaire castle in Kinvara. Dublin City Centre after 6 p.m.

General Information about the Majestic Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher stretch for 8km & rise up to 214 metres above the Atlantic Ocean.

They are located on the west coast of Ireland in county Clare, Just south of Doolin Village. The begin Rising slowly from Doolin and stretching south for nearly 8km to Hags head.

You can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins and the Maum Turk Mountains to the north in Connemara and Loop Head to the South.

The area was designated as a Refuge for Fauna in 1988. The area was also designated a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA) under the EU Birds Directive in 1989. The Cliffs are home to one of the major colonies of cliff nesting seabirds in Ireland as their vast vertical rock face is a haven for these birds. These include the Atlantic Puffin, Razorbuill, Chough and Common Gull.

The designation covers 200 hectares and highlights the area's importance for wildlife & within the designated site is a 200m zone of open water, directly in front of the cliffs to protect part of the birds' feeding area.
